Drexel Rayford: Music

Warmth of Living Light

I don’t know just how long this world can last
If we keep fighting like we do.
Sometimes I fear we’ll have a future like our past.
Mostly I pray for something new.

Well I have felt you in the quiet;
When I set myself aside.
I have heard you in the silence;
And known the warmth of Living light.
Living light.

I have seen the gulls a-wheeling at the ocean,
And I’ve heard the breakers roar.
I’ve thought of folks that live out there beyond the far horizon.
Who like me want something more.

There are people who are waiting on a kingdom
To arrive from up above.
But the Savior said the kingdom is within us;
In our capacity to love.
